In situations where corn plants have to face short or long period of drought stress, WATERLOCK corn hybrids have demonstrated their yield superiority compared to market competitors. They deliver security to farmers, and a guarantee of profitability in all-weather scenarios.

WATERLOCK hybrids have shown a yield superiority of an additional 3,3 dt/ha on average in fields with drought stress detected (data collected 2012-2021). Each year, corn hybrids from all maturity group are tested in MAS Seeds R&D network, more than 120 locations in 17 countries.

Through careful selection and breeding we have selected varieties that have synchronisation between the emergence of silks and pollen shed. This allows proper pollination and optimal kernel number on ear.

During flowering stage, maize plants are highly sensitive to drought stress. WATERLOCK varieties flower early. By speeding up the flower window these varieties take advantage of spring moisture and avoid flowering in the summer heat waves.
